After the resounding success with audiences and critics, the Concertone della Notte della Taranta, which bewitched 200,000 pluckers, lands on RAI 1 on Thursday, September 1 at 11:30 pm.

Madame and Gino Castaldo from the former Convent of Melpignano (Le) will lead RAI 1 viewers on the musical journey proposed by maestro concertatore Dardust with the artistic direction of the Popular Orchestra.

A program written by Massimo Martelli and Rossella Rizzi, set design Marco Calzavara, director of photography Marco Lucarelli, RAI delegate Cristiano D'Agostini, visual Filippo Rossi and Mauro Bubbico.

The program will open with Elodie dancing the Pizzica di San Vito and unleashing the square. The drone images render all the magic of the architectural complex of the Convento degli Agostiniani, now a symbol of the Notte della Taranta while Taranta di Lizzano interpreted by the versatile voice of Salvatore Galeanda, opens with the tambourine players of the Roberto and Alessandro Chiga Orchestra, Carlo Canaglia and Gioele Nuzzo who light up the show to the rhythm of the tambourine.

A sequence of images directed by Stefano Mignucci give viewers all the energy of the pizzica experienced in the square after two years of waiting, and when international guest Stromae enters the stage, they explode with joy and are moved by Marco Mengoni's masterful interpretation of the Grico text Klama, a story of emigration, departures and returns. Love in all its expressions invades the scene in the choreography by Irma di Paola who introduces LIS language into dance on the text Acqua de La Funtana with the engaging Stefania Morciano and gives on Pizzica di Torchiarolo interpreted by the very young Orchestra performer Consuelo Alfieri, with the presence of 40 people from the audience in addition to the 16 dancers, the snapshot of a contemporary folk festival where the special guests are inclusion and an olive tree, symbol of rebirth.

For the 25th anniversary of Taranta, Samuele Bersani sings Lu ruciu de lu mare and a version of Chicco e Spillo signed by Dardust. There is also the voice of Vito Nigro cantor of Villa Castelli in the pizzica interpreted by the unmistakable voice of Enza Pagliara and images flow over the faces of the Taranta people while on stage Dardust gives a futurist vision of the longest Night in Puglia. His Bardaggin is the announcement of a space journey that will take viewers to listen to sounds from the Balkans to Japan, passing through baroque ones without ever abandoning electronics and the genius taste of transforming the Melpignano stage into an international event. And like every journey there is rapper Massimo Pericolo to remind us that "if you leave it is only to feel alive but you never forget where you were a child" with his Il Signore del Bosco in a pizzicato version. But life's journey also always holds bitter truths like Secuta Secuta, the song about betrayal of the older brother that Studio Murena updates in theme and sound. The journey is nostalgia as in Aremu interpreted with extreme passion by Alessandra Caiulo and on harp Kety Fusco. Another minority language the arbëreshë gives new suggestions between the tradition of the song Ec Ec and the contemporary language of Madame that adds a poetic cameo.

The all-dancing finale with Aria Caddhipulina sung by the voice of the land of Salento Antonio Amato moves on to Pizzica Stifani with the archaic and powerful voice of Giancarlo Paglialunga and concludes with the hymn Calinitta where all the guests sing in Grico and Dardust turns the song into a real hit on the Miami, Ibiza, Melpignano, Tel Aviv axis.

A 110-minute narrative that summarizes the long journey of the Melpignano Concertone and enhances the beauty of the work that took 9 months of work and research. A narration entrusted to the visual language of Galattico and Mauro Bubbico with the project "W il cielo, il mare, la terra" and archival materials by Mario Cresci, Marcello D'Andrea, Antonio Toce, Raffaele Falcone, Fornace Falcone, Luigi di Gianni, Gianfranco Mingozzi and the photographs of Salvatore Palumbo, the bicycle photographer from Calimera of the Palumbo Photographic Archive, Castromediano Museum - Biblio-Museum Pole of Lecce.

MADAME AND GINO CASTALDO ON RAI 1 WITH CAPASA MILANO DRESSES and FUTURO REMOTE JEWELS

Madame and Gino Castaldo, the narrating voices of the final Melpignano Concertone that will be aired Sept. 1 at 11:15 p.m. on Rai Uno, will dress in the clothes of one of Italy's leading brands that has its roots in the Salento sartorial tradition. Their outfit is by Capasa Milano, the new brand, founded by Ennio Capasa: the jewelry Madame will wear will be by Futuro Remoto, the brand of designer Gianni De Benedittis.

Madame, at the final Melpignano Concertone on Saturday, August 27, onstage first during the performance of the song Ec Ec and then for the customary Calinitta finale, wore an oversize suit, very brightly colored, electric blue and essential cut. Like CAPASA's style, which is taut and essential, open to contamination and dialogue. The search for timeless modernity is condensed into the proposal of limited series with regular cadences and timeless pieces imagined to have a long life. Scarcity instead of excess supply: the opposite of disposable. Women's, men's, and gender fluid products that combine the ultimate in tailoring with the ultimate in technology: laser cutting and nanotechnology instead of scissors and sewing machines without sacrificing hand stitches; 3d designs and pushed customization. In line with the mission of the Notte della Taranta, which for some time has been researching combining tradition and innovation to project traditional music into the future; the Capasa Milano brand also focuses on technology integrated with the preservation of artisan knowledge and Made in Italy, because it is in the fusion of knowledge that progress lies. A tailoring approach, then, extended from ready-to-wear to accessories and beyond, in transparency and traceability. All to be discovered is the look that the multifaceted artist, on Sept. 1 in the unprecedented guise of anchorwoman will propose to Rai 1 viewers wearing an outfit of great quality with Capasa Milano clothes and Futuro Remoto jewelry.
