It will be La Notte della Taranta representing Italy in Serbia for the Italian Culture Week scheduled for May 20 in NOVI SAD.

First scheduled appointment for the Taranta artists is the 90th International Fair of Agriculture, a landmark event for the entire Balkan area, in the presence of Minister of Agriculture and Food Sovereignty Francesco Lollobrigida and Italian Ambassador to Serbia Luca Gori on Saturday, May 20, at 11:00 am.

Also on Saturday, at 8 p.m., La Notte della Taranta will be on stage at the Svilara Cultural Station in Novi Sad for a free concert open to the entire city.

The Foundation's project aims to highlight the long research carried out over 25 years on the valorization of minority languages. In Novi Sad, songs in the Arbëreshë language will be offered in addition to songs in Grico. With the voices of Salvatore Galeanda and Consuelo Alfieri, the tambourines of Roberto and Alessandro Chiga, the bagpipes of Nico Berardi, the accordion of Roberto Gemma, the violin of Giuseppe Astore, and the dance of Lucia Scarabino, Mihaela Coluccia and Andrea Caracuta, La Notte della Taranta will celebrate Italian Culture to the rhythm of pizzica.

A prestigious recognition for Italian popular culture made possible by the collaboration between the Notte della Taranta Foundation and the Italian Cultural Institute of Belgrade, with the support of the Belgrade ICE Agency and the cultural support of the "Novi Sad - European Capital of Culture" Foundation, Svilara Cultural Station, Faculty of Humanities of the University of Novi Sad, Novi Sad Academy of Arts and Youth Theater.

The Taranta in the Fair performance will be broadcast live by RTV - Radio Television of Vojvodina, the regional public broadcaster in the Serbian province of Vojvodina.
